Additional notes/observations:

The b-section vocal melody to Olly Murs' Up featuring Demi Lovato (released December 1, 2014) is very similar to the b-section vocal melody to Bruce Springsteen's Oscar- and multi-Grammy-winning song Streets of Philadelphia (released February 2, 1994) from the Philadelphia soundtrack. Compare Up's vocal "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" with Philadelphia's vocal "La, La, La, La, La". While in different keys, both melodies share the same quarter-note triplet rhythm (rest-trip-let, two-trip-let), over the same (relative) chord progression. A similar rhythm can be found in the intro to Steely Dan's Kid Charlemagne
